- Once you return to the beginning of the petal row, Sl St into the end of the 3rd Rnd, from here you will begin the 4th Rnd which will run behind the 1st row of petals.

- Begin your leaves by:
- Sc 14 over a single cord foundation.
- Ch 4 to turn – leaving the cord behind.
- Sk 3 St. Sc 1. Ch 4. Sk 2 St. Sc 1. Ch 4. Sk 2 St. Sc 1. Ch 4. Sk 2 St. Sc 1. Ch 3.

- Ch 1 to turn.
- Return to the base of the leaf by crocheting over the foundation cord and into the side loops: *Sc 4 into the loop Sp. Sc 1 into the next St.* Repeat until you meet the base. The foundation cord will still be visible along the top – it will be covered up when the leaves are all linked together in the final stage.
- Sc 1 (into the 2nd St from the last Sc) to connect the final side of the leaf into the base.
- Repeat the above leaf-making steps until you have 7 leaves in total.
- Anchor the final leaf into the central ring.
- Link the leaves together through a series of picot arches.
- Ch 1 to turn.
- Bring the foundation cord back over: Sc 1 into each St up the side of the final leaf (now your first leaf).
- When you reach the open cord at the top of the leaf continue to Sc over both cords until the top part of the leaf is covered.
- *Create the arch between the two leaves by crocheting over the single foundation cord: Sc 5. P 1 (Ch4). Sc 3. P 1. Sc 5.
- Sc along the top of the next leaf once again unifying the two cords into a single sequence until the top cord is fully covered.*
- Repeat the * sequence until each leaf has been covered.
- Sc down the side of the final leaf taking the foundation cord down the side with it.
- Fasten the foundation cord into the backside of the central ring so that it will not be visible from the top side.
